TabibOnline SA, a Rabat-based health startup, wanted to launch a telemedicine platform to address the healthcare access gap in remote areas of Morocco. Patients in rural zones sometimes had to travel hundreds of kilometers for a simple consultation, and waiting times in public hospitals were excessive. The challenge was to build a reliable application offering high-quality video consultations even with limited bandwidth, while complying with strict medical data regulations and patient privacy requirements. An AI system also needed to be integrated to guide pre-diagnosis and optimize doctors' time.
We developed a native mobile application with a video conferencing engine optimized for low-bandwidth connections, ensuring smooth consultations even on 3G. The AI pre-diagnosis module analyzes patient-reported symptoms before the consultation, providing the doctor with a structured summary and diagnostic leads. Electronic prescriptions are sent directly to partner pharmacies with secure digital signatures. The end-to-end encrypted shared medical record enables longitudinal patient follow-up across different specialists. An intelligent scheduling system optimizes doctor time slots and reduces waiting times.

“TabibOnline has made medicine accessible to thousands of Moroccans far from healthcare centers. The pre-diagnosis AI saves our doctors precious time and the video quality is remarkable even in rural areas. AivenSoft met a major technical and human challenge.”
